Chrome maybe secretly recording you .....

One of the few new features released last year by Google Chrome browser was Speech to text feature.
You could speak and chrome browser would convert your speech to text. There were sites designed to make best use of this feature.

Chrome will be able to use this feature, only when user gives the permission to do so, and this can be done separately for every tab in the browser.

However, according to this post, it could be that there could be some pop-up advertising windows, that could be secretly recording your speech, irrespective of you providing it the permission or not. And this could be hidden, so you might not even be aware of something like this.
