Disable Google+ on your Gmail A/c

Google begins to merge Google+, Gmail Contacts starting Thursday Jan 09, 2014
Benefits: If you don't have e-mail address of somebody you found on Google+ Circles, however, you want to contact, then, thanks to this new Gmail feature
Pitfalls: This new Gmail feature will result in some users receiving messages from people with whom they have not shared their email addresses .

You may want to do it now, before its late. Here is how you can disable it:

  1.  Login to Gmail 
  2.  On the top-right - select Settings as shown below:                                                                                     
  3. In the General tab, scroll down to find: Email via Google+: Select "No One"                                                
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click "Save Changes".
